I'm not crazy about the colors and it's not as refined as I'd like. So for my next one I probably won't use ink or a coffee stain underneath. The coffee usually doesn't give me any trouble but this time it made the watercolor have a dark edge around each wash.
I love this! The delicate shading on the face, the little bit of drawn hair on the left, and the rendering of the clavicles is very nice. How are you using the coffee? Did you use it to stain the paper first or did you paint the figure with it?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I stained the paper first with coffee and then painted with watercolor and brown ink. I used ink for the hair.
